Hi! We have a long-term problem with the Apple Homekit and I hope someone else here can help, or even let me know I’m in the same boat. Basically, we can’t add our wife to the house – when she is invited, there is no error message, just a circle that spins endlessly. I tried all sorts of things that I saw listed on the forums, such as adding by phone number, alternate email address, and so on. and trying to add another family member, all to no avail. Similarly, if he creates his own house and tries to add anyone else, it doesn’t work. I went from pillar to post by Apple Support. I was informed that it considers something under the hood and the only way it will be fixed is in a bug fix in an iOS or Homekit update – there have been two major updates since I was told this and the problem remains. My house is equipped with all kinds of light bulbs, TVs and homepods compatible with homekit and I leave home in a few weeks to work abroad – my wife must have control over the house … I, as I’m sure we have all of us here, we’ve forked (and continue to fork) a lot of dough to be part of the Apple ecosystem. When I asked for assistance in sending me to customer relations, they discouraged me from going that route. They assured me that the engineers were working on it, but I’m not convinced it’s close to anyone’s priority list, so apart from abandoning the platform, which I’m reluctant to do, I don’t know what to do. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance!
