Shelter's "No Home Kit" campaign will see football clubs put on their travel gear or third-party equipment in support of the charity and highlight homelessness.

The number of homeless people has risen dramatically in the last decade. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us the importance of having a safer home than ever before - however, more than 180,000 households have been homeless since March 2020.

With a severe winter ahead, more people could lose their homes. Shelter's front-line services work harder than ever to help people find and maintain a Christmas home, but they can't do it alone!

Whether watching from the terraces or huddled around the TV, football understands the importance of "home". But in the space of a 90-minute game, 25 households will be left homeless in England and many of them will be families with children.

Osama Bhutta, Shelter's campaign manager, said: "We believe that 'home' means everything. We want to use the positive power of football this Christmas and our common connection with "home" to raise awareness of the homeless and what we can all do to combat it.

"We want as many teams, players and fans as possible to join #NoHomeKit and work with us to help those facing the harsh realities of homelessness this winter. Everyone involved in #NoHomeKit can do something special by bringing the entire football community together to fight the housing emergency. ”
