The Major League Soccer expansion franchise, Charlotte FC, will shake the blue Carolina when they come out for the first time next March.

CLFTC has officially unveiled its home sets for the inaugural 2022 season on Thursday, December 9th. Made by adidas, "Carolina Trout" features a bright blue body and white sleeves. The adidas logo, shoulder straps and sponsor logo on the sleeve are all black, while the main sponsor logo Financial ally it's white. The V-neck cuffs and collar feature black and blue stripes.

The shade of blue used for kits is the same shade used by the Carolina Panthers in the NFL. Both teams are owned by hedge fund manager David Tepper. The lower left corner of the shirt shows a silver map of North and South Carolina in the jock tag position, while a white "CLTFC" monogram appears on the back collar.

The shirt will be matched with white shorts, also with black adidas stripes and blue socks with white border. The names and numbers on the back will be printed in white.

The shirts revealed on Thursday largely match a leak in early November. Twitter user @theduohq took a photo of the kit on the shelves of a Dick's Sporting Goods location in the Charlotte area. The only difference seems to be the collar, which was solid white in the photo posted on Twitter.

Until recently, CLFTC website, social media and other materials it seemed to emphasize black over blue, making the decision to go with a blue home kit a surprise.
