Christmas Lights: Room Vs. group vs. scene

Cupertino, November 8, 2020

Wondering what everyone's preference is here or everyone's advantages / disadvantages?

Last year I made a "room" called "Christmas"

This year I'm experimenting with the lights in the right room, but I'm grouping them as "Christmas"

The latter approach is ok so far, although probably as soon as I group with lights outside the kitchen, the group will appear in one room anyway ...

Also, previously I could say "start Christmas" - now it seems to work only with "turn on the Christmas lights"

I haven't added HomePods to that mix yet ... seems like the best option would be a scene called "Christmas", because I could easily include both the lights and the music there ??

(Yes, I know it's early. It's stuck here, and my wife wanted to bring it in a little earlier!)
