CO2 level automation question

Cupertino, October 25, 2021

Hello! I'm trying to automate the CO2-based ventilation unit (I have a Netatmo sensor). The problem I have encountered is that when someone starts the mode on the remote control unit, it does not return to the desired mode (especially high) until the CO2 level falls below the predefined level in the quick control level and returns again (above the limit level, predefined in automation). How does automation check the CO2 level from time to time and switch modes on the ventilation unit accordingly? Thanks
