Connect the Netatmo outdoor camera to a switch?

Cupertino, March 5, 2021

I really like the Netatmo outdoor room. I like that I can install it in a place where there is wiring for a light. I also like that no subscription is required. I also like the fact that a reflector is built-in. It's the outdoor room I want to get. However, the spotlight I want to put is connected to an external light switch. Yes, I could just turn off the switch, put the wires together to complete a circuit and place the point where the switch was, but I also want the functionality of the switch for the sake of turning on and off the light for others in our house who might do not have ready access to the HomeKit configuration. I also don't want the camera to be turned off by connecting directly to the switch. I think the way to do this is to use the circuit, to use a smart switch to control the light through the homekit (mimicking a real stupid light switch connected). I would need to complete the circuit to the camera light so that the camera does not lose power. I would need to create a separate circuit chained to the one configured for the camera at the smart switch to provide power. Then I would set up an automation for the switch and the light on the room. Is there an easier way to do this?
