Constant Homekit changes in behavior.

Cupertino, November 4, 2019

What kind of salary? - I'm really starting to get discouraged by Homekit. Maybe there is a way to prevent this from happening?

Homekit * constantly changes * its behavior. I use a Homepod as the most important control system in our home, and it gets 99% of the Homekit commands we issue around the house.

The latest since 13.2;

I have a couple of scenes called "Good morning", "Bright light", "Let's go to bed", "Let's sit outside" and so on.
Saying a stage name to Siri would make her answer "Okay" or "Done" and she would.

Now, when I say "Bright Light" - she replies "Good morning, the scene is set" WTF - it's not my good morning scene!

The most frustrating;

She no longer repeats items added to my shopping list. "Add ** gin and beer ** to my shopping list"
Her reply "I've added it to your shopping list"

Check out the iOS app: "Jim and Pia"

If she got it wrong in the past, we would know, and we could fix her right away. Now we come to the shops and stare at the screen - what the hell rhymes with Jim and Pia?

bugbears;

* In bed - whisper to Siri ... "Let's go to bed" to activate my scene. She replies VOLUME 11 "Okay, I tried to send the command to some devices, but they look disinterested, you can check them out"

Yes no worries thanks for the wall in text answers. Check out the Home app - all good.
How about just OK * ding * and a popup on my phone telling me which devices did not respond?

1 accessory called "TV Lamp" and 1 scene called "TV Mode" (which dims some lamps)
A day out of the blue saying "TV Mode" would no longer trigger the scene and would turn on the "TV Lamp" instead. Ugh. There have been no software updates in between.

& # X200B;

* I have a scene called "Food Delivery" (which turns on some outdoor house lights for the delivery driver) - which stopped working, and Siri now replies with "I've found 6 restaurants near you that supply ..." Ugh.

Homekit stage names should have priority over everything else, right?

Homepod specific;

* Cooking in the kitchen with kettle and range to, the Homepod by adjusting its volume to compensate with the answer. So you say "set a timer for 5 minutes" and you get a shouted answer "5 MINUTES TIME OK"

Later you issue a command without background noise - it will still use the last volume level (and scare the shit out of you)
