Cuttable and controllable light strip for HK?

Cupertino, February 20, 2024

I'm looking to put light strips and contact sensors in my nightstand drawers so I can see the contents of my drawers at night without triggering my nightstand lamp and waking my wife. The strips will be about 25" each and I will need either two controllers or a way to solder them together and use a single controller to only power one of the strips at a time. The only tapes I have ever used are the Tapo L930's and I have cuts if they can be reused. It's not clear to me if they can be reused as I intend or if I should buy blank strips and add controllers like WLED. Any suggestions? Thanks!
