I took a few on the first day a few years ago and it works pretty well. Amazon cut them off and pivoted them to Ring cameras, and although Ring is easy to connect through Homebridge, no one seems to have learned how to hack a connection with Amazon. I'm willing to try firmware flashes if they exist, as it doesn't look like these cameras will receive major updates in the future.
