Did the automations confuse iOS 14?

Cupertino, October 3, 2020

Ever since we updated our home for iOS 14, we've noticed that our automations are misleading.

Example 1: If the lock behind the back door is unlocked after dark, the Hue lights in our garage should turn on so we can see the dog. It worked flawlessly before the update, but lately it has been worse than ever.

Example 2: If our ecobee sensor detects movement in my office after 5pm, it should trigger a Koogeek power strip, turning on some shelf lights. Then, after no movement is detected, it stops them again. That one didn't work once since the update.

Does anyone else have this problem or am I alone here?
