Discover and query the programmed HomeKit controller?

Cupertino, July 5, 2021

Is it possible for a "generic" LAN device - for example, a raspberry pi running python - to discover and query the current HomeKit controller and the status of all the accessories it knows about? For example, suppose I wanted to write a command line program to get the status of all switches on the network, as I can see in the iOS user interface. Is this possible through any official protocol?
