Do smart switch and smart bulb work together?

Cupertino, January 10, 2024

Hello! Newbie Apple Home user here. I got the smart home itch and slowly added smart products to my apartment. One of my favorite mods so far has been the Nanoleaf Essentials Bulbs. I really like that it supports Apple Home Adaptive Lighting, which changes the color temperature throughout the day to match my circadian rhythm. The only thing that bothers me and my partner is the lack of physical switches. I know this could be fixed with remote buttons, but I'd really prefer to replace the light switches as it's the most intuitive way for guests (and ourselves) to control the lighting. Most of our electrical boxes are missing neutral, so our switching options are very limited. **Question:** Is there a switch that does not require a neutral and is able to constantly power the load and act as a programmable button in Apple Home? I think I've seen it referred to as detached/detached mode. The idea is that my Nanoleaf bulb can be turned on and off without going offline and messing up the automations.
