Do Thread devices not receive an IP address on a home network?

I have a few Nanoleaf Essentials products and have noticed that I don’t get an IP on my network, which makes sense because my HomePod mini acts as a hub. But, this makes me wonder how I would go about limiting internet access or troubleshooting unresponsive devices if I can’t access them in my router’s administration interface. Does anyone know how to manage Thread devices or am I missing something here?
