I have my new Schlage Encode Plus set up via HomeKit and the Schlage app. In less than 2 weeks the battery life dropped to 44%. Granted, these are the batteries that were supplied with locks, but that seems excessive. The lock occurs on my Thread network, so I expect better battery life. The screw is not hindered from alignment. The lock is operated by turning the thumb more often than electronically. Does keeping the lock on the Schlage app affect battery life as this is a wifi feature? Should I even keep the Schlage app?
