I’m looking at buying the Hive smart Thermostat with hot water, however, I can’t find this answer anywhere.
My water tank is upstairs and has a thermostat that triggers the boiler downstairs. The thermostat for the heating is downstairs also but away from the boiler.
I understand that you replace the scheduler/receiver next to the boiler with the hive model and the thermostat for the heating is replaced by the smart thermostat. However, how is the hot water temperature gauged? Is there another thermostat that I’ve not seen in any review? Does the upstairs thermostat become obsolete and your water is either heating or not?
