I just bought a Philips TV with Ambilight and I'm thinking of buying other third party lights and LED strips that also work with HomeKit. I have a shade bridge and two shade bulbs. I have already bought some Tradfri lamps from IKEA and my research shows that they should work well with ambilight. However, IKEA does not have smart colored LED strips, and Hue tape is too expensive for me. There are cheaper alternatives that work with HomeKit, but my question is: does anyone know if they will work with ambilight by connecting to HomeKit? Or do they need to be connected to the Hue Bridge for this to work? Thank you in advance
