Does the standby function not work for long periods of time?

Cupertino, January 7, 2022

I created an automation in which, as soon as one of my windows is open, the automation waits 900 seconds and checks again if the sensor is still open or not. If so, I get a pushcut message, so I don't forget to close it. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be working properly. Short-term automation works like a charm, but as soon as I try to make it wait for long periods of time, it seems to stop working. Basically, I don't receive any messages, even if the windows have been open for more than 900 seconds. Is there an alternative I could try?
