I know I'm at a high risk of being wrong by posting this, but I've spent so much time over the past year trying to solve this problem that I wanted to provide a resource for anyone else who might be having similar problems from an o much of my troubleshooting was done based on other forum posts.
Here's the breakdown of my rig (or just the problematic components)
I've had my Belkin Wemo for about 9 months now, and for the first 7 it disconnected from our network for seemingly no reason and wouldn't reconnect until we undocked it and connected it to a network. wall charger to reboot. Reinstall and then about a week later it was doing it again... for seven months straight, it was very annoying.
The Meross garage door opener exhibited the same behavior, albeit less frequently. It randomly disconnects every couple of months and we would have to hard reset it to get it back into Homekit.
The Logitech circle I got two weeks ago and it was like Wemo on crack. It would stay connected for a few hours and then become unresponsive. It would have to be completely reset, uninstalled from Homekit and then reinstalled to get it working again.
I've posted screenshots of my router settings below, but here are the main changes I remember making to get everything set up, meaning I've had no disconnections or problems with Homekit for the past two weeks.
I think it goes without saying that your mileage may vary with these settings because network configuration issues can be so frustratingly difficult to troubleshoot and can be different from environment to environment, but if you continue to have problems , I think you change some of these things (or their equivalents). for your router) is worth a try.
Hope this helps someone.
