Easy way to store states in HomeKit with HTTP requests

Cupertino, November 2, 2019

So I've noticed that this is something that a lot of people need, but for some reason HomeKit doesn't offer anything out of the box. The potential solutions that I saw people use also seem excessive (buying more smart outlets for state savings, running raspberry pie and so on), and I think I found a simpler way.
There are these services called "key value stores" that seem to be exactly what I was looking for: a simple way to save a state from a HomeKit automation and be able to read it back.

I will leave a screenshot below of a sample I made, let me know if you have any questions.
