I'm guessing not many people are using these cameras, because I'm surprised that I have yet to see anyone else mention this issue.
On Friday (amidst all the ecobee service outage drama), there was a firmware update pushed to the Smart Cameras. After this firmware update, my cameras have a significant crop to the video. The FOV is no longer anywhere near 180°. The reason I'm convinced this is firmware-related is: I have three of these cameras. Two of them are on the new firmware, and both of them have this cropping issue. The third has not yet received the update and is still functioning as normal.
I'm in contact with ecobee support, although they aren't super helpful so far. They keep asking unnecessary and unrelated question, like what is my home address. I keep trying to explain that I'm using these with HomeKit, so they are not tied to an ecobee account or an address.
Anyway, just putting this out there. If you're seeing this issue, it would be nice to know I'm not the only one in the world with this problem. And I'm hoping additional support requests sent to ecobee will help expedite a fix.
