Eero vs Eero Pro

Cupertino, February 1, 2021

Hi all. I'm looking at replacing my Linksys Velop Tri-band Wi-Fi network with Eero from Amazon. I know the Pro version is better than the standard Eero, but I wonder if I actually need the Pro. I have a download speed of 220 MB and I will not try to increase it. However, I have a lot of smart home devices. Mainly Hue bulbs that shouldn't do otherwise as they depend on the Hue Bridge (if it's as simple as that). I'm looking at getting more Thread accessories, so I'm not sure if I'll need the Pro over the standard Eero? Any help is appreciated, I just don't want to pay more than I need for something I might not notice. Also, Eero says that all their second generation routers are still Thread ready, does that mean they will play the same role as HomePod Mini in terms of Thread?
