Electric towel rail control?

Cupertino, October 4, 2021

Been looking at how to fire these up based on schedule and occupancy, which should be easy enough, however the switching looks more difficult.

My rails are hard wired via flex into the wall with a switch on the rail itself. All the rails are on one breaker in the board but cover 2 bathrooms.

I thought about using a Meross switch in the plasterboard next to the breaker board do do the job, which would be quite elegant. The downside being all the rails are on or off in both bathrooms - this isnt an issue for me however the load (400w) of the Meross switch is a problem. I thought about using a Meross switched outlet and either put outlets by the towel rails in the rooms, or do some such of kludge with the panel coming in and out of an outlet.

Any thoughts of homekit "in line" switch which might be more suitable for about 2000w of load?
