I recently purchased an Elgato Eve switch and finally got the try to install this past weekend. In my wiring box I have a black (load), a white (neutral) and a green (ground). Ignoring that I don't have a red cord, I plugged everything in and turned on the power switch. The contact came online and the contact instantly became available in the app and I had zero issue connecting it to HomeKit. Despite all this success, it would not actually turn on the three lights of this switch.
Is it red required? I tried to switch black to black and tried black to red, but that configuration didn't get power to the lights or switch. Is it possible to connect my black to both the black and red on the switch?
