Hey, so I'm a beginner, setting up my smart home. I recently had a problem with my ISP, which just randomly assigned me a static IP address (which I didn't actually request) and charged me for it. When I called to question the charge, they told me you needed a static IP address for the security cameras. Currently, I only have a video ringtone with Eufy battery and a HomeBase 2. But I had them about 6 weeks ago. I'm thinking of adding more Eufy cameras in the future, but now I'm confused. Do I need static IP addresses for all this? Do I just need this? I don't really want to add more devices if it means incurring monthly fees to operate them ... Sorry - this is definitely a basic issue. But I would really like some help. Hoping someone can advise ...
