I bought Eufy Indoor Cam 2K Pan & Tilt for use with HomeKit. However, there are some significant quality differences when using HomeKit compared to the Eufy Security App software.

Short answer: the image quality is significantly better using the Eufy Security application and not connecting to the HomeKit.

Here are the quality differences I extracted from the file metadata using EXIFTool. I hope you find this useful and let me know if you get similar results. I can only make a clear difference by watching the video.

1. Dimensions: 2304 x 1296 pixels (3.0 megapixels)
2. Average bit rate: 975 kbps
3. Video frame rate: 15 fps
4. File size: 9.2 MB (HEVC, 1:15 second video)

1. Dimensions: 1920 x 1080 pixels (2.1 megapixels)
2. Average bit rate: 252 kbps
3. Video frame rate: 23,997 fps
4. File size: 2.0 MB (H.264 video, 1:02 seconds)
