Eufy via HSV vs Eufy Cloud

Cupertino, April 28, 2024

So I gave up HSV as it always gives me problems. Is my TV turning off? Offline cameras. Online room? Camera won't stream (or streams in 2 second increments) and/or missing notifications.

They weren't that bad to begin with, but whatever, they seem to be getting worse (or at least continue to be subpar).

With all these frustrating inconsistencies THROUGH the 1080p limitation of my 2k cameras... not worth the headache.

SO. - Changed my indoor pan and tilt cameras to eufy only because they have SD cards (but I assume I'd lose the videos if the camera and/or SD card were stolen or disconnected) - I kept my homebase2 wireless (pro something or another) ) cameras on HomeKit, for the sake of video storage.

NIGHT. AND. DAY. THE DIFFERENCE.

My point/question, for anyone who has exclusively used both HSV and Eufy at different times: - Is it worth it to break down and pay for the damn cloud service through eufy? - Does anyone use HB2 AND HB3 and notice a difference between the 2 models that makes it worth upgrading?

Any pros and cons that I haven't already covered are greatly appreciated.

Security reviews/ratings would also be appreciated, if anyone knows how much I can trust their cloud storage (not as much as HSV, but obviously I'd like it closer to that side of security).

Thank you in advance in case I don't get back here right away.
