Eve Thermo with regular thermostat

Cupertino, March 15, 2020

I thought of buying several Eve Thermo units for different rooms in my house, to better adjust when they are heated. Also, I will need Eve Extension because of the distance.

What I was wondering: I still have a regular thermostat (_dumb_), which is mounted in the living room and reacts to the temperature changes there. As such, while the Eve Thermo units will make sure that the appropriate rooms are heated (or not), they can't help but feel that this is an incomplete solution, because the thermostat might not do anything at a time, even if Eve Thermo was set to a higher temperature in a specific room, requiring the boiler to be turned on.

Eve has nothing to replace my central thermostat, so I have to look elsewhere for it. Will the brand-new HomeKit thermostat work with the Eve Thermo units? Or would I be better off buying everything from the same supplier? Any recommendations, brands, experiences ... are more than welcome.

Thanks!
