Everton launches new home kit for 2021/22 and suggests James James and Richarlison stay ahead of transfer interest

Cupertino, July 9, 2021

EVERTON has suggested that James Rodriguez and Richarlison stay this summer - after including them in their new launch kit.

The South American duo have both been linked with transfers from Goodison Park this summer.

These rumors intensified when Carlo Ancelotti left the club to return to Real Madrid, as he would have told Richarlison about a transfer to the Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez has received a transfer to Atletico Madrid, AC Milan or Napoli.

But the video giving up the home band 2021-22 suggests that he intends to continue on Merseyside next season.

Seamus Coleman, Jordan Pickford, Allan, Michael Keane, Danielle Taylor and Izzy Christiansen also appear in the presentation video.

The promotion features photos around Liverpool, with fans slapping the city center.

There are also contributions from Evertonians around the world - including sand art in Australia, a barber in Ireland, a Chinese nail artist, a carpenter from Malaysia, a Greek graphic artist and a baker from the USA.

There was a mixed reaction to the "two-tone, dazzling camouflage" design with yellow and white ornaments - inspired by the role of Liverpool and its docks in painting naval vessels.

But a fan couldn't look beyond the fact that star men Rodriguez and Richarlison were both included.

New boss Rafa Benitez will be desperate to keep the popular pair - as well as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is a target for Manchester United.

Tottenham were caught late last season when they had to release photos advertising their new shirt at home, despite Harry Kane declaring his intention to leave the club.

And Barcelona is currently unable to sell the "Messi 10" T-shirts in the Nou Camp club store, with the unemployed Argentine hero, after his contract expired.
