In my house, I have certain devices that I automate through HomeKit automation with Lutron Cassette switches. The canonical example of this is the waterfall in the back yard. There is no light, but the pump is controlled by the On / Off switch Box. If I say "Hey Siri, turn off the lights," the cascade is no longer working, because Apple has assumed that everything connected to a switch is a light.

In addition, there are only lights that I would NEVER turn off with a voice command unless explicit. For example, I now say "Turn off the lights on the ground floor" and the night lights on my bottom Onelink are off. It is exactly the opposite of what I want. But there are lights. And I'm downstairs, so I'm downstairs.

So I avoided "turning on the lights" or "turning off the lights" in Siri, because there are * always * unwanted consequences,

Except now I have 5 HomePods and I know in which room it is ... so I should be able to say "Hey Siri, turn off the lights" and if I'm in my bedroom, only the bedroom lights will turn off, and my waterfall will continue to flow. Well, I said that today, and my whole house went black inside and out. Everything stopped. Maybe the order was taken from my phone instead of HomePod, who knows. In any case, I had to go to bed to get everything back to its proper state.

(This reminds me, my landscape lights are automated by HomeKit and controlled by a Box dimmer ... but it should never go out when a general command like "Hey Siri, turn off the lights" is issued.

Is there any way to explicitly remove accessories from being affected by general or area controls like these? I would just like to make it understand "these are not lights or even if they are, do not touch them!"
