It's not specifically HomeKit-related but I plan to buy new speakers and replace my current HomePods with them. I intended to use an AirPort Express 2 as an AirPlay receiver for the sound from my Apple TV, and my question is whether I will experience any audio delay. Usually, the timing is synchronized, but the question is whether it will work with my non-Apple speakers as well?! I would connect the speakers to my interface, then connect the interface to my AirPort Express and use it as the receiver for AirPlay.
