Hey, I'm going to put smart light bulbs in my bathroom, but I'm going to have to deal with the well-known problem with the light-connected extractor - that means that for smart light bulbs to work, I always need them to be powered, and if they're always powered, means the extractor is running all the time. I plan to do this by connecting a smart relay, such as a Shelly1, to the extractor fan override switch, and then setting up what could be a series of complicated HomeKit automations that I would like your advice on (if at all possible). My plan is to have a motion sensor and a humidity sensor in the bathroom (something like the Aqara or Shelly H&T humidity sensor). The motion sensor and the humidity sensor will both be exposed to the Home app, and I'd like to set up automations that run like this: simple) - If the humidity sensor reaches x%, turn on the extractor, then turn it off when it drops below x% (also quite simple) The problem is how these two automations will coincide. ** Example: ** If I have a shower, the motion sensor will trip and the fan will turn on, but the humidity will also be high, so the requirements for both automations will be met. *** BUT *** If motion sensor automation shuts off the fan after x minutes of inactivity, will it cancel the humidity automation and turn off the fan, even if the humidity could still be above x%? Also, if humidity is detected to be below x, will that automation turn off the fan even if there were not x minutes of inactivity on the motion sensor automation yet?
