I'm trying to connect my idiot fan to wifi. It has a somewhat interesting setup. Uses a single three-way switch to control fan speed (low and high). It has a second switch on the front that provides a timer function and provides power to the gear selector rocker switch. I would like to find out how to connect it to apple homekit/wifi and be able to switch between high and low speed. I'm thinking that losing the timer won't fix anything if I replace it with a Lutron Casetta or Leviton switch. Has anyone else encountered this problem? FYI Quietcool offers a wifi switch but it seems to be a custom hardware box to power a radio and then I need yet another app on my phone and the switch is battery powered which I'm trying to avoid.
