Fan switches for DC fans?

Cupertino, September 19, 2023

It seems that more and more modern ceiling fans are using DC motors and therefore now only use remote controls and wall switches are obsolete (except on/off). When we built our house last year we chose fans and it turns out all 6 are DC fans and without the remote they don't work. The wall switches only supply 120V to the fans, and the fan electronics handle the control of the motors and lights. So my question is, are there HomeKit compatible switches or remotes that allow me to control our fans from HomeKit (or Homebridge) and therefore integrate into automations? At our old house we had fans from BigAssFans and they had some smart features that were very useful for us (like fan schedules, turning off fans when no one is home, adjusting to room temperature and humidity, etc.). But those fans are so expensive that we opted not to go that route this time. They were also very picky about the WiFi. Every time the power went out, we had to spend some time reconnecting the fans to the WiFi, and it didn't always go well.
