I tried everything, from Apple support, etc. and I kept getting an error. The only mistake I got all the time was “An error occurred” … of course it wasn’t that helpful. Emmerson’s assistance wasn’t much better, they told me to just pull it off the wall and then remove the batteries, that didn’t work either! I still got the same error. I searched and I searched and I searched. and I found help here on Reddit. Of course, I didn’t find it until I found it on page 233 on Google. I felt like it was enough to paint the whole purple by Google, and I had it with this!
