I just got my first HomeKit device - a Phillips Hue deck plus some lights, a dimmer, a button, etc. I set everything up and I have Siri working with it, but I'm a little confused, because now I have 2 apps that seem to do the same thing. For example, I can set my hue button to scroll through the scenes in the app, but then in the Home app these actions don't appear and instead ask me to set up their behavior independently. Suppose it overwrites the behavior configured in the hue application? Ideally, I wouldn't need the Hue app at all, but it looks like you need to use the Hue app for certain features, such as the hold button behavior. I wonder what else could be exclusive to Hue. So I'm just wondering how people keep everything organized. Do you use both in tandem or do you keep things separate? I don't want to do a bunch of scenes in the Hue app just to have a completely different set of scenes in the Home app for things like wall outlets and Siri voice commands.
