I set up MyQ to send me an alert if the garage door is left open for more than five minutes, but if I walk away and forget to close it, CarPlay won't let the push notification, so I won't see it until I drive and then I check my phone. Any suggestions?
I also thought of a way to mimic the "left open" MyQ functionality, but with repeated notifications in a HomeKit automation, but I always ended up having a bunch of Homebridge status variables and what feels like a fragile error in managing border conditions. . Do you have any short suggestions for writing my own Homebridge plug-in?
