Get the status of accessories - automation

Cupertino, January 7, 2022

I'm struggling to see when you should use the accessory status feature. Can't use the if instructions to command the system to check the status of the accessories? For example, in my automation below, I noticed that the access status of the accessories is not required for the automation to work as expected. Maybe there are different use cases that justify the order? Please enlighten me if so, just trying to learn what shortcuts / automations are capable of. Thanks https://imgur.com/a/DPMxtgz (The above shortcut is triggered by the motion sensor that detects motion, if that matters)
