Hello - I built my own house and installed about 90 Insteon devices that I control with an ISY994 and I was mostly happy. The system is now about 10 years old and lacks interconnections with other platforms such as Alexa. Smarthome.com seems to be interrupting the platform for the most part. So I have to switch to another lighting system and replace all my engraved Insteon custom devices. The material and the thread look great, but I don't think I can be lame until then. I'm DIY - but this will be my third installation. I need the ability to do advanced If / Then programs, if possible. I need lamp modules, I need motion / occupancy sensors. But most of all, I need the ability to program it myself. I will not pay and will not wait for someone else to sink into my system to adjust the ramp rates, etc. I look at Lutron for the most part. Can anyone give me a perspective? Luck!
