Heating space + HomeKit

Cupertino, October 24, 2020

I'm looking to add extra warmth to a 10x10 fireplace. The room is technically heated by a vent from our central heating system, but the room is poorly insulated and full of windows, so it cools down. I've closed it for the winter in the past, but I'd like to try to keep it open this year. I'd like to get a heater that can be controlled by Homekit - so when a temperature sensor says it's below a certain temperature, it will turn on the heater, and so on. Do you have recommendations for heaters, sensors, settings, etc. And can I drive it even when I'm away from home? I'm worried about unattended space heaters, but I'd like to keep a few plants there, if possible. A wall heater would be ideal. The current FWIW HomeKit products I have are Aquarium, Shade, August, Level and Meross. Open to others.

TIA for any feedback or suggestions.

P.S. I'm in the US - I looked at the Rio heater, but it's not available here yet.
