I'm getting crazy, I can't make HomeKit turn on Apple TV anymore after setting up an access point. I used to be able to stop and play them through the HomeKit app. I can still connect to the remote app and when I play music for them, they wake up.
Last night I set up a separate router that I had as an access point in another area of the house. After more reset to the router because I had no idea what I was doing, I finally have a stronger Wi-Fi signal where I need it. I had to change the IP address of my modem / router and I think that's what might have turned it up. The IP address that the ATV had for the network was incorrect, but after I disconnected it and connected it, it was correct.
Any idea how to solve this?
For some reason I also get a message from accessories that only have to notify me when I'm not at home. Does this have anything to do with it and how does it solve it?
