Help for automating the door contact sensor

Cupertino, November 21, 2021

I have a door sensor and I let the dogs out on a regular basis. The light comes on and will go out after 5 minutes, which is fine, but I was wondering if there is a way to make it smarter. So the door opens the lights come on The doors go out the lights stay on The door opens again the lights stay on The door closes, goes out. That's why I let the dogs out, close the door and come back soon after and let them in. It can take between a minute and 20 minutes and I don't want the lights on if I don't need a TIA
