HELP: iPad wall-mounted for motion / wake-up settings?

Cupertino, October 5, 2021

Hoping that some of you in this sub-thread can help me solve a problem with getting my iPad mounted on the wall to fade when no one is around and wake up when someone approaches it. I've watched many posts here and countless YouTube videos on the subject, but none seem to give me the real settings I need for this to happen. So, hoping someone there can help you! Problem: My wall-mounted iPad is set up using the Home + 5 app with my preferences. This part works great because my panel shows everything I need to access. I configured it to be in Guided Access mode. We also set up an Eve Motion sensor to send a notification to the Apple Home app when it detects movement as someone approaches it. I see that the sensor captures the movement, so I assume it works correctly, but I hid the notifications (so I didn't fully test them). However, my iPad does not fade at all. It stays on all the time (24/7). Question: Can anyone help me with what settings changes I need to make in the iPad General Settings, as well as in the Guided Access or Home + 5 app? I tried to play with a few, but I can never make it go out. If someone did this, could you provide a detailed summary of the settings we need to set on the iPad? Your help is greatly appreciated!
