Earlier this summer, I bought a MyQ garage door opener and things worked out. Then I went and bought the hub to go with it so I could integrate it into the HomeKit. That didn't work as well. It was very difficult to set up and it took a call to the Chamberlain helpline to find out. It works ok now, but only in the MyQ app; was never available to be added to the HomeKit.
I want it to work there so that I can simplify it as much as possible. Before resetting everything, I have a few questions ...
1) Do I need both parts to integrate into the HomeKit? I feel like I read somewhere on one of the many sites that I check that once the hub was introduced, it was really the one that controls the garage door, but that the MyQ opener had to be in the process as well.
2) Apart from the general frustration of resetting all children, am I in danger of doing factory resets on both tracks so that I can try to do this correctly?
