Help - Recommended rules for motion sensors + lights

Cupertino, May 10, 2021

Well, I didn't predict it would be that hard, but setting the rules for motion sensors hurts my brain. I analized:

Details: I bought 2 Hue motion sensors, but I will try to start with only 1 (I was going to put the other one in the kitchen / living room, but I will focus on the bedroom first). Trying to automate the lights in the bedroom - the main headlights on the ceiling and 2 lamps with Philips Hue bulbs. 1 large window and 1 smaller window, both have blinds, but really only used for sleeping. I have a homebridge running on RaspPi. I would like to use a combination of time of day + light levels (LUX ratings) + presence for automation. I would also like to automate turning off the lights after a certain period (for example, 5 minutes) I also can't find a guide for LUX levels and equivalent light levels. For example, it is in the middle of the afternoon and partly cloudy, and the sensor reports 232 LUX. But I don't seem to find that a LUX rating less than 100 is covered or less than 25 is dark etc. Has anyone created rules that you are happy with? Can you share rules that you like / are useful? Ora 9 AM - 4 PM, LUX => 200, do not turn on the lights. 16:00 - 23:00, LUX <= 100, turn on the bedside lamps at 70% and the headlights at 50%. 11 PM - 7 AM, LUX <= 50, turn on the LED Lightstrip under the bed at 25% (generic to act as night light - to be installed). Finally, I currently have a time rule / automation to turn on the bedside lamps at 70% 15 minutes before sunset and never go out - they stop as part of my goodnight rule. Would there be a motion sensor rule to replace that scene, and if the motion sensor doesn't feel the motion, can I make it return to that scene? I use the Apple Home app first, but I also have the Eve app and now I bought Home +, so I'm happy to get recommendations if one app is better than another with this type of automation.
