We have a few more weeks of CES 2022, but don't tell Hisense that. The company has decided that it doesn't need a big, lively Las Vegas show to show off its new big, lively Roku TV, which happens to be its first Roku TV to offer 8K resolution: Hisense U800GR , which is available on December 8. from The best purchase and Amazon for $ 2,700.

The U800GR includes Hisense's ULED display technology, which in this case means a quantum dot LED panel with a native refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1,000 nits. Players will appreciate the smoothness that this brings to their fast-paced games, as well as the TV's support for low-latency automatic mode (ALLM) and variable refresh rate (VRR). You have Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, in addition to HDR10 and HLG. Hisense says there are 180 local blur areas for better contrast and black levels.

Behind the TV you will find two HDMI 2.0 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports, one of which supports HDMI ARC and eARC. Hisense does not go into too much detail on its website, but we would be surprised if these ports would not handle either 4K at 120Hz and 8K at 60Hz.

Hisense says that its 8K Upscaler analyzes the content frame by frame and automatically adjusts the displayed image to provide greater clarity and depth, regardless of the resolution of the content.

In the box, you'll receive the new Roku Voice Pro remote control, and the U800GR has built-in support for Apple HomeKit and AirPlay 2 technology. The TV is also compatible with (and can be controlled by) Alexa and Google Assistant if you have a separate smart speaker.

The U800GR isn't the only Roku 8K TV you can buy. In early 2021, TCL launched its 6K Roku TV Series 6 TVs for $ 3,000 for a 75-inch model. At the moment, it is down to $ 2,700, the same price as the U800GR. The biggest difference between the two TVs is that TCL uses mini-LED technology for the backlight, giving it 240 zones of local adjustment compared to the 180 zones of the 800GR.

Are you curious if the U800GR can surpass the 6 series despite its lack of mini-LEDs? We hope to receive a model for testing soon. In the meantime, these are the best Roku TVs you can buy.
