HKSV AQARA G2H - Permanent wiring

Cupertino, April 7, 2021

I tested an Aqara G2H and, despite some configuration issues that were resolved by updating the firmware, I am quite impressed with both the responsiveness and the image quality. So far I have connected it to a 5v 1amp socket, but I want to mount them more permanently. I have an old alarm system that is never used, because the panel is defective, the alarm is still powered and each room on the ground floor has 12v PIR sensors connected directly to the alarm. Would that be okay? Do I produce a lot of heat? As I intend to hide this in coving / architrave if not https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Micro-USB-DC-DC-12V-to-5V-3A-Step-Down- Converter-Power -Supply-Module-Waterproof- / 254756834982? _Trksid = p2349624.m46890.l49286 Thanks for the feedback
