HKSV cameras - something new on the horizon? Do more $$ get a better experience?

Cupertino, October 5, 2021

Hi, I want to go to the rooms that accept HKSV. I want a camera that can do two-way audio in the HK app (so Eufy is out). And I know the options are pretty limited. The main competitors I know are: Aqara (65 USD) Ecobee (92 USD) Eva (125 USD +) Logitech Circle (160 USD) There are several others such as Netatmo (reviews are much less favorable) and Onvis (72 USD ) (I know very little about it at all). So, I have three main questions. The first is, how many improvements do you get if you go with a more expensive room (if any)? Ecobee is one of the best rated HKSV cams. Something that Circle or Eve camels offer above Ecobee? And what about Aqara? My second question is about future rooms. Most of this list has been on the market for some time now (a year or more). Is there any news about future models? I read online that some new HK air purifiers were about to escape and I wondered if there was similar information about cameras or bells. I thought that if there was anything new, this sub would know. :) Last question, will it change or improve anything from giving up Thread / Matter next year? As much as I would like to switch to HKSV cameras now, I would expect, if it is sincerely reasonable, that: 1) new cameras appear and 2) Matter / Thread connectivity would be an improvement over what is available now. What are your thoughts? Will we see some new HKSV cameras soon? What does it matter? Will there be an existing firmware update for Matter? Wait or buy now? Any advice and information would be very helpful. Thank you very much!
