Hello, since updating to iOS 15, my eufy indoor cameras are no longer recording any videos. The last recordings are from Monday before the update, so now my wife isn’t happy that I always want to update the new thing when everything was working just fine before.

I’ve tried changing the home hub, turning recording settings to off and then back to recording, but nothing works. I also no longer get motion notifications either. Is there anything else I can try or am I just stuck waiting for 15.1 and hoping apple fixes things?

Well, after hearing enough about how annoying it is to not have recording working, I decided to reset everything. First I removed all HomePods from my HomeKit and iCloud account. Then I reset the Apple TV’s and did a reset and update option, and removed them from my iCloud account as well. So at this point I had no hubs in HomeKit and no evidence of HomePods or Apple TV’s existing in iCloud devices list. I then removed the eufy cameras from HomeKit as well.

Then I started by adding one HomePod back to my account and making sure it showed up as a hub. Then added a eufy camera back to HomeKit and voila, recording and notifications worked! Added the other HomePod and Apple TV’s and everything is working normally again.

Hopefully Apple resolves this bug with 15.1, but if you really want recordings and notifications back it sounds like this approach worked for at least two people.

Update 2:
The above approach worked for me and my wife’s phone. It did not work on my iPad though. I’m done with this though and can live with that, it just doesn’t make any sense!
