I'm pretty new to this smart home. Having already returned my first set of Wi-Fi plugs so as not to work with the HomeKit, I felt that I was pretty sure I had purchased a starter kit. Everything worked fine until I tried to add a plug to the system, my understanding was that the shade worked happily with all zigbee devices and I assumed that if the shade is happy, then HomeKit will not know better, especially seeing that Tradfri is compatible with HomeKit itself. the boy I was wrong.
My last hope is that the attic at home can help solve this problem, so I don't have to keep buying 30 plows instead of the £ 10 ikeas deals.
But I would greatly appreciate any contribution in this regard before sinking another ~ 30 GBP into a pie that might not make all these problems go away. As can only be generously described as a beginner coder.
