Homebridge for technological challenges

Cupertino, October 6, 2021

My parents have a doorbell (along with other smart objects) in their Alexa ecosystem. They recently started using a few things on HomeKit and they like it better. Looks like they like to use the HomeKit app more than screaming at Alexa to turn on the lights. This is my question. if I set up a home bridge in their network ... is it easy enough to maintain for someone who is not a smart home enthusiast? It's like I realize they couldn't set it up, but if I went and installed it for them, would it be good enough after installation? Thanks!
